What happens when the Building Control Authority requests a revised notice, additional information, or a fee.

Share

In compliance SI 496 (1997), Article 9, works shall not commence without a valid Commencement Notice.

When a revised notice is requested – or additional information or a fee – under SI 9 (2014), Article 8, or SI 351 (2009) Article 20A (3)(c)(ii), where the Building Control Authority has not received such a response, an applicant cannot commence works. Once the local authority has received such revised notice (or additional information or fee) they will assess it and works can commence only when the local authority has validated the commencement notice.
