No, BER assessments are carried out by SEAI registered BER Assessors.

How much should a BER cost? 

The cost of a BER can be anything from €100 ex Vat to €450 ex Vat. It is recommended you should shop around. The cost will depend on the size and location of the property. You should agree on a price inclusive of VAT and remember that the assessors are obligated to provide a written quotation.
