Improve Your Energy Efficiency: Deep Retrofitting

A deep retrofit looks at the house as a whole and addresses all aspects of energy use in the home. The aim of a deep retrofit is to achieve a BER A-rating. To achieve this a number of areas need to upgraded together to increase the energy efficiency such as:

• Wall insulation 
• Attic
• Replacing windows and doors. 
• air tightness and 
• Ventilation.
• Providing a renewable energy resource  



The work involved is extensive and would be likened in scale to an extension.
