It's hard to believe that this beautiful room outside is actually situated slap bang in the middle of Galway City. Having recently renovated an old terrace house in the city centre, the owner decided to extend out into the back yard creating an open space that would be very functional during the Summer and Winter months. The timber frame extends out approximately 12 feet from the double patio doors. The treated timber frame is painted in white giving the space that Mediterranean feel. It's roofed in the corrugated perspex which allows the sun to flood through and heat up the the area. As the room would still be open to the elements, the owner floored the outdoor space with a timber look tile that matches the tile in the living area from Rocca Tiles. The interior of the exterior (so to speak) is furnished with a timber dining table and chairs, with a small desk allowing the owner to work out here too. Two very comfy wicker armchairs make this the perfect spot for a morning coffee with a hanging egg seat ideal for whiling away the afternoon taking in the sunshine. The 'she shed' at the end of the garden was painted in a sunny yellow to match all the soft furnishings in the covered space. Lots of flowers and plants bring this room to life adding colour and texture to this stunning indoor outdoor room.
