OCC Construction have chosen Kinvara as a development for County Galway. Thornhill is situated within walking distance of the vibrant town centre of Kinvara. These prestigious architecturally designed family homes boast a raft of modern features as standard. For this show house Peter O Connell of OCC Construction commissioned Lynne O’Loughlin of Tripod Design to put that extra special stamp on this show house. The brief was to stage the show house for open viewing, showcasing the top class standard and finishes on the houses. This very spacious home was a blank canvass for Lynne to work her magic. She uses a classic simple contemporary style while also giving this house individuality, offering prospective buyers that extra special space to call home.

For this designer, fresh, sustainable and contemporary design is extremely important. She wanted this home to be timeless where new owners could add their own pieces and their own style to suit their lifestyle. Lynne was adamant that she wanted to highlight local design and craftsmanship - This she achieves with the artwork and prints dotted around the house. Prints throughout the house are by Luke Reidy, Eimerjean McCormack, Siobhan McNutt , Lola O’ Donoghue and Lynne O’Loughlin.

Lynne uses an holistic approach when designing, showing her ideas on a story board first. For this space she went with a neutral colour scheme with punches of colour throughout. She used lots of wood panelling painted in strong shades. Lynne never strays too far from the basic design principles of colour and her attention to detail is second to none. She is not a fan of the fast fashion style and prefers her designs to be timeless and sustainable. 

As Lynne has just launched her Interior Design Website - www.Tripod- Design.com this show house is the perfect opportunity to showcase her stunning ideas and style. It's high end finishes were the perfect backdrop for Lynne. Having worked with Peter on previous projects she was delighted to work with him on Thornhill - (Cnoc na nDealg) in Kinvara. Sharing a common goal to be sympathetic to the surrounding landscape was high on the agenda for both Lynne and Peter, as was incorporating local artisan skills. He gave her a generous budget from which to work and was delighted with the outcome.
