Talking About: Neolith Worktops
If you are in the process of choosing a worktop, you will probably have come across a surface called Neolith. A surface solution which has recently exploded onto the countertop scene, Neolith is certainly not a fad – it’s here to stay. Slightly pricier than traditional granite or quartz options, it is a surface that markets itself as ‘extraordinary’. We’ve done the research and here’s why you should consider digging deeper.
Firstly, what is it? Neolith is a sintered stone product. What’s that? Sintered stone is a 100% natural material based on 3 groups of natural elements – granite materials, glass materials and silica and natural oxides. The sintering technology that is used to create Neolith mimics the process by which natural stones are created throughout thousands of years.
The beauty of Neolith is that it boasts extraordinary properties whilst offering a huge range of different finishes and an array of colours that give richness and value to the designs created with those surfaces. Personally, we are in love with Iron Moss, but it’s difficult to choose!
So what are the extraordinary properties that Neolith shouts about? It is a material that is suitable for modern living, that’s for sure. Resistant to scratching, low temperatures, high temperatures, high pressure and fire, your countertop will certainly stand the test of time, children and parties. Combine this with its impermeability and the fact that it is extremely hygienic (suitable for contact with food), 100% natural and resistant to chemical cleaning agents, and there’s no denying that you’re onto a winner!
