Types of Interior Design Styles
Who says you can't achieve an Instagram or Pinterest-worthy look for your home? You definitely can! With some imagination mixed with creativity, you can achieve a great looking space. There is plenty of inspiration you can choose from to give your home a new look. Here are some designs you can pick.
1) Scandinavian Design
Are you aiming for a Nordic-inspired look? This design looks after functionality and aesthetics married together. Scandinavian designs are simple, clean, functional, and make use of natural elements. Choose a unique light fixture that stands out. If your rooms are painted with white paint, you can use some accent chairs with bright colours to break the colour monotony. Go with a wood flooring and throw in some earth-tone-coloured carpet. A patterned rug is also an option. Accentuate the walls with simple and light-coloured frames. If you have a small room to work with, a huge window bringing all that natural light will make the space look lively and bigger.

3) Coastal Living Room
Whether you are living near the coast or you just miss the beach, achieving a beach house or seaside feel in your home shouldn’t be a problem. Natural lighting and open space will help you achieve that look. Recreate that easy-going, relaxing, and sunny vibes of the coast inside your house by adding up some beach touches like palm-designed wallpaper or perhaps a combination of teal, blue or turquoise coloured throws or pillows for your sofa. Add some accessories made of natural elements like rattan or bamboo. Bring colours to your table by adding up some brightly painted beach rocks. You can also opt to add some sea mementoes, put them in a nice frame and hang them against the wall.

5) Minimalist Style
Ever heard of Marie Kondo? She's a Japanese organizing consultant who provides tips on tidying up. If you want to achieve a minimalist interior for your space, it is time to set aside the things that no longer spark joy as Marie Kondo would say. Minimalist interior looks into how each piece of your home provides its basic function while maintaining that Zen ambience. It's basically about the things that you just need within that space and nothing more. To achieve that minimalist look, you have to remove all the clutter around and decide which items should stay.

6) Industrial Space
With this kind of look, one must know how to make use of those pipes or beams in your house. These are common in apartment-type buildings where the design is a combination between functionality, roughness, rawness which gives the space its unique character. Accessorize your living area with some upcycled or worn-out tables and chairs. This is also called the warehouse look where the use of scraped wood elements, bricks, metals, and other salvaged materials are the main highlights of the space.

Achieving that vintage look is like travelling through space where you recreate the charms and elegance of the past. It is not enough that you get yourself some old sofa or a vintage item from your local charity shops. Vintage interiors look into the marriage of light colours against vibrant fixtures for highlight. You can make use of frames varying in designs or chairs which are of unique characters.
