What are the 4 types of Commencement Notice?

The Building Control Acts 1990-2014, Section 6(k) require notice to be given to building control authorities of such buildings or classes of buildings, or the carrying out of such works or classes of works, as may be specified in the regulations. Regulations provide for 4 types of Commencement Notice:

  1. Commencement Notice with Additional Compliance Documentation

  2. Commencement Notice with Opt Out Declaration

  3. Commencement Notice without Additional Documentation

  4. 7-Day Notice, including Fire Safety Certificate and Statutory Declaration
