Dublin Airport Capacity Development Project

This multi-phased project was carried out within a 28-month period over a footprint within the airport campus of c350,000 sq. Ft. The project extended the capacity of the airport to cater for an additional 20% in passenger growth per annum. The project featured 5 primary phases within the campus which involved the construction of numerous link bridges and circulation corridors one of which encompasses the full extent of Pier 2 and spans over 300m the function of which segregates incoming and outgoing passengers which brings the airport up to the required global aviation standards. Other phases incorporated the re-modelling of the main structure at T2 to provide new bussing gates and interconnecting corridors, a new 20,000sq ft modular building was constructed on the side of a live apron on the south side of the campus. Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 transfers facility were upgraded and construction of a new build extension at Pier 4 extended over 3 storeys with a full link structures and corridors internally that now allow ease of transit between T1 and T2.
